Poor Chili Pies

Don't order and wait, just drive thru
I was out running errands with my father about a year ago and we decided to stop by for some good old lunch at Sonic. It was the last time we were there, though.

They weren't particularly busy (like I think about three other cars), but it still took over 30 minutes for two simple orders. They also got one of our orders wrong. How convenient.

When we noticed that everyone going through the drive-thru getting their orders in 5 minutes or fewer, we realized we must have messed up their day or something by actually stopping. I mean, I kid you not. Twelve cars (easy) went through before we got our messed-up order (and a few of those had like 4-6 people in the car).

Sonic food is still the same, but for this particular place I'd suggest going Drive-thru only-- unless you really like long, romantic views of a bank building or Hwy 98 or golfers trying to hit you from the driving range. But I could be wrong, some must people love waiting in their cars for food that long.    [17 Feb 2004 09:25:10]

Love Sonic

My favorite food is the cheddar peppers and the drink of choice would be a strawberry vanilla Dr. Pepper with real strawberry's; they are awesome. For dessert I would have to choose the Peanut butter Fudge Shake, Large.
