Gringos Need Not Enter The food was excellent and our waitress was great; however, we were greeted by sneers at the door. We were dressed appropriately and I spoke Spanish, so the only other explanation for such obnoxious behavior must have been the fact that we are clearly "gringos." We were shocked, especially since we have never been treated this way, even outside of the US. [22 May 2003 14:51:03]

Wonderful Restaurant! My husband and I eat at Padrino's every chance we get. The food, the service, and especially the prices are excellent! We take visitors there all the time, and they keep going back, too! [20 Jun 2003 12:37:01]

I like the ambience. I've always received a nice service. I specially love the steak palomilla and as a starter the mariquitas. [19 Jun 2004 14:34:18]

Best Cuban Restaurant in Broward by Far I lived in So. Florida for 17 years and went to Padrino's constantly. Always took out of towners there and they always wanted to go back when they returned. Am visiting there soon and can't wait to get back to Padrino's. We're inviting all our local friends to join us. They have the best flan in the world, bar none. We also adore their chicken livers with onions and the chicken steak stuffed with ham and cheese. They've always been welcoming; the service good and I heartily recommend the place.
They certainly have no anti-gringo thing going on. The very thought is absurd. They operate their restaurant in the middle of a gringo area. [09 Jan 2005 17:05:52]

What are you talking about ? GRINGOS NEED NOT ENTER My family and I have been going to Padrino's for over 10 years and have never encountered such a thing. Have you tried to walk in during the winter months ? its full of SNOW BIRDS ! and the majority of the crowd at that time is AMERICAN - The staff is bilingual - its not like you're in Little Havana... fantastic food , owners etc. these people are wonderful. I had the opportunity to know them. Not an anti-American bone in them. Their food is great; they aim to please. They are honorable hard working people. A real asset to our country. Their flan cannot be topped. They are meticulous. Florida's gain and our loss here in New Jersey. [24 Apr 2007 11:52:15]
