Large menu, including a full menu for Atkins or people on a diet!

I have been to many Applebee's restaurants but was not impressed with this one. The first time I went there, I picked my food up (carside)...I sat outside for 10 minutes and watched employees stare at me from inside. I eventually got sick of it and walked in (where there was a table of about 5 employees eating and talking) and asked if I can please pay for my food. One girl was actually helpful enough and asked me what I had ordered. I told her, and she saw that it was sitting on the counter (and had been for like 15 minutes). She told me that she had to go get the bartender and that the bartender would be out to give it to me in a minute. I returned to my car not understanding why the girl or any of the employees eating could check me out and hand me my food. After another 10 minutes, I was aggravated and about to get out of my car again. Just as I reached to open my car door, a man walked out and asked (rather rudely) if I had ordered the oriental chicken salad. I told him that I had. I handed him my debit card and he looked at the bill and told me that he would take care of it. I said, "are you sure?" he said yes and basically threw the food at me!
I am guessing that he was the manager. I was really surprised because usually a manager will APOLOGIZE and be NICE. I guess it was nice of him to give me my food free, but he was just extremely rude and didn't apologize at all.

I went in another time with some friends. My service was not as bad as the first time with Carside, but nothing spectacular.

Both times the food was okay but not as good as I had in the past from other Applebee's restaurants.

Needless to say, I will never return to this location which is a shame because it is the most convenient for me.    [21 Mar 2006 16:44:19]
