DISAPPOINTING
This was the WORST restaurant my family & I ever went to. We were on vacation from Iowa, staying in Kissimmee and we were looking for a nice place to go for a buffet. We found this Ponderosa, which I now wish we would not have. The people that took our order, bussed our table, waited on us, etc. - NONE of them spoke english. The food was horrible. I ordered a WELL-DONE steak. It was still bleeding when I got it. We had to wait over 25 minutes for our drinks. When I finally found someone to tell them about my steak, it took 15 more minutes for the manager to show up. The manager was RUDE. I'm not talking average rude - I'm talking down-right RUDE. He was very mad that I complained. He almost dumped my steak in my lap when he took it from me. They didn't cook me a new steak, instead they took the steak I had and re-cooked it, which made it as hard as a rock. My niece ordered a child-sized chicken meal, they charged us for an adult meal. All-in-all, it was terrible. I WOULD NOT & COULD NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I'm very surprised they are even still open.    [06 Apr 2004 12:32:20]

Horrible
My family and I travel and dine out frequently. On a recent trip to Disney we were with a group of fifteen who decided to have dinner at the Ponderosa. It was the worst experience any of us had ever had. Upon viewing the cleanliness of the dining area and our children's buffet plates which contained half cooked chicken wings, we canceled our orders. The management was very rude and after going back and forth for an hour he reluctantly removed the nearly two hundred dollars worth of charges from our credit cards. About two hours later my four year old son (who had eaten about three chicken wings) began vomiting and cramping which lasted through out the night. Hi, I'm from England and I was on vacation in kissimmee. Ponderosa was one of the best restaurants that we went to; it was clean and had a good service. It was cheap and the waiters/waitresses were all very kind...even though my mate broke the ice cream machine...

New Management?

We ate at this location in April 2006 and found it to be very different. The service was excellent, the food was very good and the manager was very polite. Reading the other reviews makes me think that they have had a major management change since 2004. In the end I think we ate here 4 or 5 times in the 3 weeks we were in Orlando and we will be eating there again when we go back in December.    [09 Aug 2006 07:05:59]
