Louise,Julie,Lidia,Lisa all do an EXCEPTIONAL job! The food is exquisite, delicious and Lots of TLC put into it.The place is ADORABLE and very comfortable. Best in Citrus County by far. I worked at the Rusty Duck and I loved every minute of it plus so much HEART is put into everything that is prepared and thought of! You would be foolish not to try it because I assure you You Will Love it as I have.....

Dirty little hole in the wall!
When you pull in the "parking area" you could easily believe the place has been closed for several years.....weeds have overtaken the building, you almost need a machete to get to the front door.
It's not really clean inside either. food is just OK...not worth the fortune they charge! Bathroom literally has a hole in the wall, and is filthy and smells of urine! Service sucked.

Bottom line is that the health department needs to inspect this place...should not be allowed to serve food to the public...only eccentric liberals can find the charm in this dump.    [21 Sep 2007 10:09:34]

Diverse and Delicious!
The Rusty Duck is a rare find. Cooked to order entrees are fresh and exceptional, no detail overlooked. There is no place in Citrus County that even comes close. The Prime Rib could feed a family of four. Scrumptious oysters and decadent desserts.    [30 Jul 2007 10:46:57]

Never judge a book by its cover. Behind the covered building is a wonderful restaurant. The BEST in Citrus County. The entrees are made to order so everything is fresh and delicious. Extensive menu..delicious food!
The Rusty Duck has something for EVERYONE! Along with some dishes you may find on typical menu are many uniquely prepared recipes created by the chef. Also you will often find a mix of exotic..ethnic type dishes as well! And they are all scrumptious! Gourmet Casual In Citrus County
If you want to feel like you have dropped into a French Country Roadside Inn and want the best French influenced cuisine, ambiance, and casual atmosphere then it is all here. This place is a gem in Citrus county and very well could be in France, California Wine Country or upstate NY.

Decadent Treat in Lecanto
Eccentric little place with a quaint, close ambiance to fellow dinners. Order anything marsala and you will be in heaven, the prime rib-a remarkable large cut of beef that you will not finish there unless you're an extraordinary carnivore, pasta, the lobster bisque, all an indulgence. Do not forget to bring a great bottle of red with you, who can eat so selfishly without good wine!

The Rusty Duck is like no other restaurant we have experienced in this area. The menu is different each time we visit and has something for everyone. This treasure has no rival and should be experienced often. We especially enjoy the prime rib , veal and the lobster bisque.
