Disatisfield Customer
I'm normally very tolerant and don't voice my displeasure, but feel that if nothing is said, a problem cannot be fix. Memorial Day, as my husband and I were traveling through Maclenny, Florida on I-10, we stopped at Hardee's for lunch. The young lady behind the counter was evidentally not pleased to be working on the holiday as there was no greeting, no smile, nothing to make a customer feel welcome. I placed our order and when I handed "Reva" my bankcard, she told me the machine was not accepting cards. She did try twice. I then asked if it was just her machine and suggested if that were the problem, she could possible ring it on the drive through register, which she attempted to do, without success. Fortunately, I had cash to cover the cost of the meal. I'd originally ordered to go, but the length of time to wait for food, we decided to "eat in". This gave me 20 minutes to further observe this young lady and her customer service technique (there was none), not once did she smile at a customer. A gentleman we observed going through the drive thru came inside the restaurant to return money (he'd been given change for a $10, instead of $5, she didn't smile, say thank you - she had a look of disgust on her face.
Additionally, the appearance of the store both behind the counter and in the dining area was disgusting. I realize it was a holiday and they were probably busier than usual, but it would have take a very short time to tidy the areas. They'd also run out of mustard, mayonaisse. All in all it was not a pleasureable experience. I completed the Comment Card while there,and then was unable to locate a Comment Card Box in which I could place the card.    [02 Jun 2006 17:04:47]
