NO SERVICE FOR WOMEN
On Monday, 12/29/03, 3 women were seated at the restaurant. After 10 minutes, we asked for our server (nicely) and was told she'd be with us in a moment. The young woman we had asked to notify our server did bring us coffee, obviously embarrassed by the treatment. Our server didn't get with us to even take our drink order. However, she did take our coffee cups and give them to a table of men who arrived after us. After 20 minutes, we elected to leave since we had a plane to catch in Orlando.
1) I mentioned to the seater (an older woman) who was updating the "specials" board that we just couldn't wait. She didn't acknowledge me so I asked her if she "cared". "No, you're just tourists", she stated.
2) I'm sure the Indialantic Chamber of Commerce and the owner would like to hear of this treatment.

Bottom line, I (one of the 3 women) grew up in Melbourne/Indialantic (since 1964)and moved to Atlanta 18 years ago. I was there BEFORE the Blueberry Muffin. One of the other women is one of my adult daughters who was born in Melbourne (in 1979) and had frequented the Blueberry Muffin since she was a toddler. We ALWAYS try to go back to the restaurant about which we feel so sentimental when we visit our family members in the Melbourne/Indialantic area. Too bad the servers can't acknowledge that women customers are just as important as their "regular" men customers.    [29 Dec 2003 16:49:54]

EXCELLENT
Fantastic Blueberry Pancakes were absolutely loaded with fresh juicy blueberries. The fresh squeezed OJ from HALE groves was also very good. The accompanying muffin ordered warm with butter was great.    [07 Jun 2004 14:39:59]

My favorite spot
I live ten miles away and sometimes I'm tempted to stop at a spot closer to home but one thought of the delicious, fresh muffins will always draw me back to the Blueberry muffin. We eat there all the time and the friendly servers and great food make it worth the trip.

friendly atmosphere for regulars
When I go out for breakfast I always go to the Blueberry Muffin. My wife asked me why I always go there, and my response was I know most of the regulars there and I enjoy the usually friendly chatting that goes on at the counter.
