Best Mexican in Town!
First, I worked here and quit, but still give this place my business. Their Mexican is the best anywhere, and it deserves the brag.

El Tucan is clean. SUPER clean. Everything is clean, even though they fry a lot of food; from the ceiling tiles and decorations to the men's and ladies' bathrooms. Silverware, dishes, and table condiments are also clean and UN-sticky, as are the menus.

Service is prompt. Food is consistent. Table times are reasonable.

Drinks from the bar are fairly priced with a lot of different liquors and a few beers on tap (some Mexican choices are bottled). The El Tucan holds a package liquor license and can sell whole, sealed bottles of wine, six-packs of beer, and sealed bottles of liquor.

There are twenty five tables in the restaurant as well as bar seating. Smoking is outside only.    [08 Feb 2008 16:48:13]

What happened to El Tucan?
We visit El Tucan often- love their food and service was good. We went there Saturday night at 7:20 and was told there was a 20-25 minute wait- okay, we can do that. 50 minutes later and we are still waiting! So we go inside to inquire where is the regular staff?

We only recognized 3 people and the young girl hostess was doing a poor job seating people in order. It was also obvious that she was seating others (friends and/or family) just arriving. We were fed up and hungry so we left and we will not be back. I think there must be new owners and they are a mess. They had better improve or they will lose their great customer base!    [21 Apr 2008 11:23:52]
