Local resturant but national flare

Good carrots!
This place was aweful. I'd been here a few times years ago (around 2004) and things were great. The Marsala sauce tasted canned or as if it had been refrigerated for days. I usually devour two or three rolls while deciding what to order, but the bread was so stale that I didn't even finish one roll. The waiter could not recommend a dish or communicate clearly although he did manage to point to the Fish section in the menu (with dirt under his fingernails - blech). My girlfriend's Pasta Primavera tasted like pasta water. The worst part was that ALL of the pasta was overcooked!!!

The only thing we agreed was exceptional were the carrots.

I would like to mention that despite all of that the staff is very nice and Frankie Holiday sings a mean set of Frank Sinatra tunes.    [30 Jul 2008 11:39:04]
