Mmm, mm, mm! Amigos is one of those places you go to get well fed. Forget ambience, forget service. The joint is in an icky little strip mall on the East Trail, okay? It's top-notch, home-cookin' Latin food. "Whaddya mean, Latin?" you ask. Hey, you're not Italian, but your mom never made spaghetti? Come on. Some dishes are Mexico puro, others are Cuban favorites. It's all good. Amigos is family-owned and operated and patronized by locals. And boy, is it patronized. The place is packed almost every night, and with good reason. The food is great; that's just all there is to it. You might wait a while to be seated; you might wait a while to be served; but eat slowly and pay honest attention to your meal, because the grub is great! The portions are generous and to go along, of course you can have a cold cerveza, but for nostalgia's sake, have a Coke, because Amigos still serves them in those old returnable glass bottles. But don't steal the bottle. That's so uncool. [15 May 2002 00:48:30]

Delicioso! I'm taking a Spanish language class in school currently and my mom's Cuban friend took us to this restaurant Amigos. I didn't think much of it at all as we walked up, it's in this ugly tiny tiny tiny strip mall that's all by it's lonesome. But when we walked in it was like I had left the country and entered Mexico. The walls are all painted beautifully with pictures of adobe villages and the Latin people. The food is scrumptious. They give you hearty meals, ginormous proportions. Rice and beans. The main choice such as a quesadilla is filled to bursting with juicy chicken and stringy cheese, all wrapped with the best soft-baked bread you can imagine. Their flan is the best dessert you can have. [17 Jan 2005 14:50:03]

Amigos....mmmm.good Well, maybe I shouldn't give this place a good review, because you-all will go there and it will be even busier! This place doesn't look like anything on the outside - I thought it was a little deli or something, until I went in. It's bigger than it looks, painted inside really neat, and the food is really good. Wednesday was live music night and the place was packed. I also noticed they reserved tables, which many of the restaurants around here don't do. I stopped for lunch last week and it was so good we went back for supper. Service and everything was really great. I had tacos with beans and rice. [26 Jan 2005 19:22:02]

A must-go for Mexican food lovers! Amigos is my favorite place to eat in Naples. The service is great, the food is even better, and the restaurant itself is decorated authentically and looks beautiful. The portions are amazing- make sure to go there very hungry! The flavor is even better. You MUST go! [04 Jul 2006 16:02:15]
