Best Ribs in the South are Here in Florida!
We love ribs. Good ribs. Our new neighbor had referred us to Big Rascals when my husband told him we were going to Tampa via Ocala at New Year's.
We weren't sure which ribs to order; the working owner took time to diagram a pig and show us where the varying cuts are made for ribs. He also told us about the "new pork"--U.S. pigs that were bred with Danish pigs to produce a less fat, more tender meat. Our typical order would have been spare ribs for my husband and baby backs for me. We chose the St. Louis ribs which the owner had recommended. W O W! These are the BEST ribs we have eaten in Florida. Seasoned and cooked just perfectly: moist, hot and tender! We had enough left to bring home and enjoy the next evening.
The restaurant was very clean and attractive. Our server was top notch. Other families were enjoying their meals out as well.
