Surprises Inside Outside it looks like what it is: a converted gas station with amateur sign and garish colors. And nobody knows what the large carved letter "A" on the front door means...
But inside it becomes sunny Mexico. With happy (but not too loud) music to set the stage, tit is a riot of happy, vibrant colors and visuals.
It looks like the food would be fun, too, and we are never disappointed. From an excellent salsa with the pre-dinner chips to Mexican favorites always prepared properly, this place will not disappoint. Of course, there is little on the menu which is different or unusual, but what is there is always exacytly what you were looking for. [09 Sep 2001 11:39:07]

The Best! Forget the S.R. 200 traffic - the El Toreo on Silver Springs Blvd. in Ocala is absolutely the best! Wonderful service, great atmosphere (even though they are remodeling at this very moment, sadly) I'm addicted (it's something in the chips & salsa one would assume) or maybe the delicious sweet tea. I suggest an order of chicken quesadillas, or maybe a #1 Combination dinner, and don't forget the superb fried ice cream! Yum! Delicious food, great place, friendly faces. Place to take out-of-towners Whenever my friends or relatives from Ohio or South Carolina come down to visit, we always got to El Toreo's. We enjoy both, the one on Silver Springs Blvd & SR 200. There's enough variety that everyone can find something off the menu. You always leave filling filled and satisfied! 2 for 25 cents chocolate mints at the cashier counter top it off for us. Too full for dessert. [23 Feb 2004 10:19:39]

Our favorite place This is the place my siblings and spouses and I love to meet. It's not a huge place, but it is tastefully decorated and the food is fabulous! [21 Mar 2007 11:08:45]
