Very Good!
So great to find a family, friendly southern, type place to eat. It's hard to find good seafood away from home but we surely found a "jewel" here.

Very good seafood, just a little on the greasy side for the fish but the popcorn shrimp was great. And what a great find; the hushpuppies were the best!

Good Seafood
I've eaten here about 10 times. So far, I have to give it good marks on quality, quantity, price and service.

Portions are large and atmosphere is pleasant for a place like this. Went today for my birthday and had the NY strip and fried shrimp, with "Hush Puppies" and Cole Slaw. Great Cole slaw, the right balance of ingredients. Baked beans are very good. The steak was tender and cooked to order but lacked much flavor. I might have seared my taste buds with the salty shrimp. All fried food is heavy and this is no exception, but it was my birthday, damn it!

This is a seafood restaurant and I recommend "Landlubbers" find some other place.
Nothing fancy but you won't leave hungry and it won't break your wallet.

Go for the early bird
We live right down the street from these guys and love it. I think they have been open for about 14 years. When they opened they had lunch specials for $2.50. But as the popularity picked up, so did the prices. They still aren't bad if you come for lunch or the early bird, but dinner is too high for us now.

They do give large portions and very good food and friendly staff. There is often a line at dinner time. My finicky son who eats less than a dozen different things has eaten their popcorn shrimp since he was a toddler. And they give you enough that even now that he is a teenager we can share a serving.
