hometown hospitality
I live and work in Paisley, and there are few choices when dining out, but Big Oak wont let you down. I love their pizza, and the price is very decent. They have wonderful staff, and a nice looking restaurant.    [09 May 2003 15:11:25]

Great Grouper, Fantastic Veal.
The grouper alla napolitana is outstanding. Have had it many times and it is always great. I substitute linguine for the pasta of the day. You may have to ask for the grouper menu.
My wife has the veal parmeggiano and she says it's the best she has ever had anywhere. She also substitutes the linguine for the pasta.
Usually waited on by Susan, who is excellent. Her daughter, Dawn, and/or Tony, the owner, are the chefs. Both are outstanding. A real find in little Paisley, FL!    [03 Apr 2005 21:24:44]

I have lived in Paisley for almost 5 years now. the Big Oak has been a staple during that time, but the costs have gone up and the quality of service has gone down. Now we try to not go, but just order out. Pizza is best ordered in, cheese steaks are gooood, and the calamari can't be beat! The bathrooms need help.

Have a group? Don't Go! the servers do not handle large groups well. Wish we could go back a couple of years!    [03 Apr 2007 15:52:15]
