Best Dinner of my Life! Cafe L'Europe in Palm Beach will forever be a favorite place of mine! Just last week, my friends and I decided to make a reservation for Saturday Evening at Cafe L'Europe for dinner. After learning that the Jazz Quartet began at 9:45 pm in the Bistro, we settled on an 8:30 reservation in the same room. The Maitre'd, Bruce Strickland, greeted us with warmth and the familiarity of an old friend. The food, prepared by Executive Chef Jens Dahlmann, was heavenly. The waitstaff was attentive and (I highly recommend the Alaskan Halibut.) Our Dinner was complimented by champagne and wine chosen from an impressive (1400 labels!!) Wine List. Right on time, the Jazz Quartet kicked the evening into high gear with terrific music. Tables were quickly shifted to add a dance floor that hosted some of the most beautiful people on the island. Needless to say, I'm going back next week! [16 Nov 2001 15:00:05]

Happy Birthday to Me. This restaurant lives up to its reputation as the best of the best. It is really a very special treat to dine there. The maitre d' and the staff make diners feel at ease and the food just keeps getting better and better as the courses go on. I went last year for my birthday and we're going again this year without even thinking about it. It is very expensive but you get what you pay for. Also a good excuse to dress up. Most patrons were very nicely dressed in dresses and pantsuits and the men wore jackets and ties. [18 Jan 2005 19:03:47]
