Great Food, Better View! Angelo's is one of our favorite spots at the coast. It's a beautiful drive down from the Tallahassee area, and the food is consistantly good. Prices are quite reasonable as well. Oysters are a must for a starter, and the various seafood platters offer a good variety and are always excellent. [19 May 2003 13:04:41]

Very nice, but kind of hidden under the bridge Great View of the bay. Have the house salad with the "Greek" house dressing. Very nice. I've eaten here many times. [05 May 2004 10:58:16]

Consistently Great Throughout the Years Since childhood, I have ventured to Angelo's with my family during vacations to St. George Island, FL. It is a beautiful, relaxing drive, and the food does not disappoint. It is a great place for the kids as well and is well worth making a special trip. We usually stop at Julia Mae's in Carrabelle for a pie-to-go on the way back to the island. Great, great, great. [03 May 2007 15:08:24]

Nice some changes needs better cooks We enjoyed the trip down, there has been much change along the way. The Oysters were the best from then on it went down hill, we got our salads with our oyster, wish there could have been some time between to enjoy this our favorite dish. The lettuce in the salads was not crisp, no fish bottles, or butter boats, we missed that. The food was not hot, the hush puppies were missing something. It was very busy, the structure was nice, it was raining when we were ready to leave there was no place to get out without getting wet if you used the stairs, a cover over this area would be nice. An evening to remember The seafood was fresh. The house dressing was very good. I'll have to get some to take home next trip. Watched a gorgeous sunset from an outside table. Friendly service. Casual, comfortable dining in a beautiful setting. [18 Sep 2007 16:49:55]

Great Dinner on a Late Summer Day Came down from Tallahassee on a day trip with my boyfriend and will return frequently!
First off the waitress was extremely helpful and made great recommendations for dinner, kept our glasses full and didn't bring the check until we asked for it (no rushing you out here!).
I had the broiled deviled crab (its not your traditional deviled crab- its like the stuffing from like four deviled crabs made into one patty; amazingly yummy, the house dressing is also a must. I was stuffed before I even got a quarter through my entree.
My boyfriend had stuffed grouper which was pretty amazing as well. (He's a pretty hungry guy and he didn't finish either)
Top off the great service and amazing food with the breath taking view (we ate outside on the deck) and you'll have a dining experience that will last long after you've left Franklin county!
Just FYI- if you're a college student (like me) this can be a little pricey. Be prepared to pay between $40-$50 for dinner for two (it is more than worth it!) [29 Sep 2007 21:32:12]

Go someplace else First time back at Angelo's since the rebuild. Missed the charm of the wood but it certainly looks sturdier. Ate out on the porch after the sun set. The overhead lights were so harsh and glared off the menu's so badly you almost couldn't read them. Salads were ok. The boyfriend got stuffed grouper which he liked. I wanted Mullet, if it was fresh. Fresh caught mullet = fabulous, after that first day = not fabulous. My second choice was the stuffed shrimp. Mullet was three days old so they brought me the shrimp. The shrimp was absolutely covered in big blobs of bread-crab stuffing totally obscuring the shrimp. The shrimp were very small, tough as a rubber tire and at least a week old. Tasted terrible and didn't smell all that great either. Hushpuppies = the worst I've ever had. Bland fried flour dough with NO seasoning. I ate one piece of crab stuffed shrimp and one hush puppy and waited for the waitress to come by and ask how everything was. We didn't see her for a long time after she served us. Then when she finally came over, it didn't even dawn on her that 98% of my meal was still on the plate. She asked how everything was and when I told her, she replied, "Oh, but you said you were concerned with the mullet being fresh!" I guess that means that anything else that's been laying around for a few weeks is acceptable to serve. No apology, no nothing and she treated us like dirt until we left. It was a very unhappy experience and I doubt I will ever go back unless they get people who know how to cook and servers that actually care. [01 Oct 2007 11:32:00]

Dinner and a Fabulous Sunset We we're greeted, and seated quickly, one reason is the time of season( summers get jammed packed). Our waitress was prompt in service, and offered wine and spirits along with appetizers. Dinners we ordered: Grouper broiled with green beans and a toss salad with the famous house dressing(also sold by the bottles, we bought one) Wonderful, flaky testure. Red snapper fried, and greek style( a chef's mixture of feta cheese, tomatoes, and many other seasonings. Wonderful!!it was served as a whole fish bone in, First time trying it, would order it again. Topped dinner off with a bottle of wine. Dessert was Home made Key Lime Pie, and it was good. To go boxes are a must for this place. And to top it off one of the most beautiful sunsets in the panahndle overlooking the bay. Bring your camera!!!!! [13 Nov 2007 01:48:42]
