Ted's is a waste of time My wife and I are locals. We went to Ted Peters tonight. The waiter, a tall, heavy blonde man was rude. The meal was just "all right" and whoever thinks their German potato salad is great has not has good German potato salad. And it was microwaved. I was so glad to leave, and believe me, we won't be going back there. There are so many good places to dine in Pinellas county. And the constant traffic on Pasadena Ave. is loud and smelly. I used to live in St. Petersburg for many years with my family. I am fifty one now and live in Minnesota. I still visit Ted Peters when I am in the area and look forward to my next visit.(I took a place mat on my last visit and keep it on a wall in the house!) [21 Apr 2004 17:31:20]

A++++++++ Don't knock smoked fish until you try it. Ted Peters Smoked Fish is fleshy and succulent without the fishy taste. You can't get a better meal than this. [03 Sep 2004 11:56:29]

I think about the Fish Spread Everyday.... Ted Peters' is an institution. I first started going to Ted Peters' when I was a wee one visiting from Massachusetts. It was an annual ritual to stop in for at least one meal during our trip. I'm still in Massachusetts, but haven't been down to St.Pete in about three years...and Damn' the craving for the Smoked Fish Spread hits me everyday...It is the best..served with saltines or on toasted white bread...The other ultimate dining experience at Ted Peters' is the Cheeseburger and a side of warm German Potato Salad and a Frosty Mug of Root Beer...IT JUST DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT !!!!!
Glad to see that they are up and running... The next time you're taking part in a cocktail (where ever you may be) raise a toast to our dearly departed....Mr.Ted Peters ..May he rest in peace. [28 Feb 2005 13:01:26]

Can you ship? I crave that smoked mullet! I was a native, until the last 2 yrs here in Kansas. We grew up eating "home-made" smoked mullet. Ted Peters restaurant does it right and delicious.
(Yum...I want some now.) I was also wondering if you ship?? [15 Sep 2005 00:34:40]

wow I have lived in the area for decades and used to eat smoked mullet at a place on Armenia when I was a kid. I recently took my wife to Ted's and really enjoyed it. She loved it more than I did.
Places that I call "old Florida" are going away quickly. Visit before it's too late. [19 Apr 2006 23:17:25]

Goodness that never changes! Peters has been a must when visiting family around the St Pete area. The smoke mullet was enjoyed just as well when I was 10 as now when i am 33. You can't replace the atmosphere or the great food anywhere. I would love to have Peters closer by, but will travel from Indiana to Florida as my husband and I did last year for just a meal at Peters, no kidding! [11 Jan 2007 20:15:48]
