Heat Lamp Hell!
No wonder you almost never see "Chinese Buffet's" on the West Coast. It's absolutely atrocious. This was NOT authentic chinese food, but some sort of Americanized Asian food under a heat lamp. Stick to Hunan's, I should have passed on the invite to this place. Blechhh! The wait staff was not much better than the "food". 'nuff said. An Objective Review of the Best Chinese Buffet in Pensacola
The China Doll Buffet is an excellent eating establishment for the individual or the entire family. I have personally eaten at this restaurant every week for the past year, and have been most satisfied 99% of the time. I also take dinner guests here on occasion without batting an eye about it.

The food is superb, fresh, and unique. The major complaint that I have is if you go into this place at what I would call "non-peak" times (middle of the afternoon, after dinner, etc.), the food appears less than appealing. Sometimes, if you go in near closing, even though you are charged a full buffet price, you cannot get some of the dishes offered.

However, make no mistake about it; this is some of the best Chinese buffet food that I have experienced in my entire natural born days of existence. I am 28 years old, and I have frequented Chinese restaurants often since my 8th year of life. Specifically, if you go to the China Doll buffet on Friday and Saturday evenings, you can enjoy fresh, snow crab legs along with the other all-you-can-eat items. But, as a token of advice, get there about 5pm for an early dinner, or you will be in line competing for the crab legs. China Doll provides an exquisite selection of chinese food that suits everyone's taste. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is superb. The staff treats everyone like a guest. The decorations are breathtaking, and the mouth-watering delectable food is cooked to perfection. It is enough to make anyone want to come back again and again. The China Doll is SUPERLICIOUS

I'm here to give "China Doll" applause for the great quality, variety, service, turnover of food. It's a great place to have everything from appetizer to dessert for a very reasonable price. The owner's are always there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's amazingly fresh and full of flavor not dull at all. Something for everyone's taste from mild to hot.
The desserts are to die for many are homemade.

We have been dining there since the owners opened "China Doll" and make it a regular place for lunch. Always feel good after leaving there never had one complaint; looking forward to returning after the remodeling taking place at this time.    [17 Mar 2007 15:08:58]
