Boo!
Definitely the worst "French" restaurant I have been to in South Florida! I am a French citizen with a background in the restaurant business in Fort Lauderdale. The waitress was great (from Brazil) but the food was mediocre. She took the order properly even asking about the temperature of the rack of lamb. The paté as an entrée was not cooked through and seved with oily garlic bread (poor combination.) For main course, my buddy received a duck instead of the lamb and the owner said it was the waitress' fault (which wasn't!)"Blaming it on her makes me look better!" he probably thought. The rack of lamb finally came and it was so tiny, we could barely find it under the fat and the thick crust of bread crumbs and the taste was overpowered by a large quantity of garlic. My dish was "Escalope de veau à la crème." Which had been ready to serve with the duck, was set aside and thrown under the broiler before serving! The veal had been pounded to death. The amount of flour was uncalled for and it was extremely dry and pasty. The mushroom/cream sauce was too thick and tasteless. The expresso was horrible.    [07 Oct 2003 23:20:29]
