Gene's on University
The restaurant is clean, consistent business, average service, and superb food. The seafood is always fresh, well seasoned, and properly cooked. We enjoy an occasional treat with the Seafood Combination Platter. It is priced well and is more than enough food for one; even enought to share!    [04 Dec 2001 17:51:42]

What a waitress!!!

Our party of six had dinner at Gene's restaurant on University Boulevard on 12 February, 2005. The restaurant was clean, the food was good, and so was the service.

I paid the bill with my American Express and my father-in-law left a 17% tip in cash on the table. As I was entering my vehicle in the parking lot, the waitress came running out, carrying the Amex receipt. She pointed to where I had lined through the "tip" section and said "You forgot to tip me!!" I assured her the tip was on the table in cash. She acted as if she wanted to argue about it. I got into my vehicle and left. This was the most outrageous experience I've ever had with a "nice" restaurant.    [16 Feb 2005 22:01:03]
