Best Place Ever Get the oyster sandwich and a pitcher of Bud and enjoy the warmth, the music and the people who work and visit. The place cannot be beat! [31 Mar 2004 22:34:07]

Rude, bad service We stopped in to what loked like a nice little " joint" on the river. Evedently we were 10 minuets too early so that entitled us to a rude attitdue from the bartender. The only reason we stayed at all is because we just came off of the river fishing all day and were starving. We had no problem waiting till the official opening time, and we did, but the service was horrible as if it was intentional just for showing up early?! The bartender capped it off by questioning the condiment I asked her for( as if it was her buisiness what I was going to eat it with?). Won't be back. [28 Jun 2004 19:31:12]

The Best Seafood in Port Orange What a wonderful dining experience. We ate outside under the Tiki Huts with a gorgous view of the Halifax River. The staff at D.J.'s Deck is so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was wonderful and fresh. I had the grilled trio (Grouper, shrimp and scallops) and my husband had the fried platter. The food was excellent and the portions were large. I would highly recommend D.J's Deck to anyone. Definitely Going Back!!! We are from Orlando, and knew that during our day trip to Port Orange, we wanted some good, fresh seafood. After doing a little bit of research, I decided we should try DJ's Deck. We were greated by a server when we walked in, and she asked if we had been there before. We hadn't, so she explained the different seating options, the menus, and how to order. We ordered the chicken nuggets for our daughter (almost 3 years old) a side order of Gator Tail (unfortunately they were out of shark bites, which we really wanted to try, so will be going back for them), the Grilled Trio platter, an excellent glass of lemonade for our daughter, and two cold glasses of Bud. It was probably the best seafood I have had in years. If I absolutely had to choose, my favorite was the scallops. I think my husband would choose either the shrimp or the hushpuppies as his favorite. I even got our daughter to try a bite of fish (she didn't go for seconds, though). My husband wasn't very hungry, hence the one dinner. We did have plenty of food this time (large portions!), but I think next time we'll order two dinners so we can try different things. The service was very fast, and we were approached by 3 or 4 different servers throughout our meal asking if we needed anything else. The atmosphere was incredible. We sat outside, and enjoyed the view. Our daughter really enjoyed seeing the pelicans and the fishing boats. VERY family friendly, and the restaurant is also extremely easy to find. I'm already looking forward to our next trip! [21 Jun 2006 08:30:04]

A Must Visit From the Pelicans to the Sun Tea DJ's is the place to eat in Daytona. I've been making a once a year stop at DJ's since 1988 when it was JC's. I wouldn't miss it for the world. The food is great the staff is great and you can't beat the setting. See you in the Spring! [15 Dec 2006 05:25:31]

Simply The Best We make excuses to go to Daytona just to eat at DJ's. My husband and I found this restaurant almost 8 years ago on a vacation to Daytona. We don't look for Red Lobster we look for really fresh seafood. We stumbled upon and have gone back every year ever since and while down for the Georgia Florida Football Game, we leave on Thursday so we can spend Friday driving the coastline and having oysters(the best) and a draft pitcher of Killians Red as well as the boiled shrimp with an awesome seasoning and hot butter for dipping. We have tried almost everything on the menu and it's all been excellent. God how can you go wrong. Great food, great service, great beer and most of all a great view!!!!! [01 Jun 2007 19:18:21]
