Description

This is a unique contemporay Italian restaurant. The cozy 40 seat dining room will give you a taste of a true Italian experience. Paolo Pece, Chef-owner, from Naples Italy, has more than 18 years of experience in the culinary field. Artistically daily creations featuring fresh seafood, signature appetizers and more. The interior is art gallery elegant, with crisp, contemporary table top design, expressionistic paintings and sculptures.
A treasure discovery in St. Augustine (Florida Times Union).

I selected the sushi grade tuna; it just about melted in my mouth. By husband had the chef prepare a vegetarian dish and was pleased.
The service was excellent...very knowledgeable re: wines, entrees, desserts.
Small restaurant..simple elegance, quiet, intimate, romantic. Art and sculpture add to setting.
Recommend for small special occasions (great teramisu cake) or any evening. Call first just in case.    [27 Sep 2002 12:08:11]

Fine dining in Florida
Sometimes it's tough to find good food on the Florida coast, where so much of the business is directed to tourists who won't be coming back anyway. Cafe Atlantico is St. Augustine's answer to this problem. Great food, great service, all the time.    [27 Sep 2002 14:12:37]

Recommended Dishes: My favorites are anything with a thick pasta sauce.

My husband and I go to St. Augustine twice a year. We eat there at least two times during each visit and can't wait to get back. Easily, the best food for miles- Pretty room; interesting wines at good prices. Whether it's meat, fish or pasta, all good. The only thing that needs to improve is the bread-but it seems every place in St. Aug. has lousy bread.    [19 Jan 2004 19:01:25]
