Description
Pretty restaurant at the foot of Main Street overlooking Sarasota Bay and the marina. Popular tourist spot because of the lovely views from all of the tables in the main dining room. The main dining room is upstairs and accessible by elevator. Downstairs is a bar and more casual dining lounge with lighter fare. The downstairs lounge is open until midnight for those desiring a late night snack.

Wonderful view! Mediocre food... It is hard to visit Marina Jack's and not be swept away by the beautiful panoramic view, however, you will enjoy the view much more if you dine at one of the many fabulous restaurants up and down Main St, and leave Marina Jack's for after dinner cocktails. I've eaten here many time, since it is a common spot that out of towners like to frequent, and never have I received what I would consider an enjoyable meal. Make the most of what it has to offer...location, but, trust your taste buds to one of the other local favorite eateries. Enjoy... [01 Dec 2006 14:39:07]

Awesome view, okay food We went to the outside cafe part of Marina Jack's for a late lunch since it was more casual and closer to the water. We sat right next to the piers and watched boats and tourists trying to dock. Great view!
The food was okay: my girlfriend had some sort of wrap and I had the croissant club which was more "pressed" than I expected. The service was normal. Everything tasted fine, and I'd go back. The conch soup was good.
I think the biggest problem was that if you are outside and a gust of wind more than 15mph comes along, just be careful with the plastic plates and things on your table because things could fly off and hit someone at another table. At least two other tables had that happen while we were there.
But being able to pick my girlfriend up from her NY flight and watch boats and water in the sun while eating some decent food is what it's all about. [07 Apr 2008 14:52:05]
