Part of a chain, this restaurant that specializes in fondues of all types (cheese, beef, chicken, seafood, vegetables, chocolate), has been pleasing Sarasota diners for 16 years. It attracts enough locals to make reservations recommended.

Three Of Us Spent $50 But Left Feeling Hungry.
We had a swiss cheese fondue (the cheese tasted wonderful) but they were VERY skimpy on the dipping materials - only one small 'cup' of not-entirely-fresh diced bread per person. I could fit my lunch into the palm of my hand.

We also had a tasty chocolate fondue for dessert - that was served with sliced fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, and I think melons which didn't go well with chocolate) and diced pound cake. Still a skimpy amount of dippings, but not nearly as bad as the bread & cheese incident.

The fondue is prepared in front of you on a built-in hotplate inside your table.    [02 Feb 2005 16:54:23]
