In my personal estimation, this establishment should not only be the number ONE place in Sebring; but should be the top steak place in the world!

They have the best steaks you will ever eat.

I have ordered steaks in a lot of steak restaurants throughout the world and these are without exception, the absolute best!

If you can get Tina for a server, your dining experience will be a five star experience. She was at the table at least every few minutes and treated me and my associate as if no one else was in her station, even though she had several going when we arrived and was still busy when we finally departed.

I hope the management reads this as Tina should be the model for all their staff!!!

Make sure you take cash money as the establishment does not accept credit or debit cards.

There is a very, very, very LARGE alligator by the name of Buddy located in a rather extremely small cage in the courtyard, if you like that sort of imprisonment.

To recap, the food is great. I had the Cowboy filet steak and my associate had the salmon. Neither of us were disappointed with our meals. You too will really enjoy this place if you like steak and fish.

One word of warning -- do NOT under any circumstance go to the Outback located in Sebring unless you want about one third or more FAT on the dish when served. I went to the Outback the evening before I found the Watering Hole and all I can say is the Outback is a minus 100 on a scale of one to ten and the Watering Hole is a plus 1000 using the same scale !!!!!

To finally finish, you have to try the Cowboy filet!

If you are in the Sebring, Florida USA vicinity, you have to stop by this place for Dinner; if not, you will not ever know how good a steak can be.    [21 Mar 2005 16:17:29]

Outstanding
My wife and I drove all the way from Orlando to eat at the Watering Hole because some of our friends told us that they have the best steaks they have ever eaten. They were right! I ate the fillet mignon and my wife ate the whole yellow tail snapper prepared keys style. Our dinners were outstanding. Florida's Newest Steakhouse Standard
There is no better steak or seafood to be found in the nation. This is a garlic-lovin', no-frills, real friendly Florida joint run by fifth-generation ranchers. Kids are certainly welcome. Bring cash or checkbook. Two can eat well for $50-$75. No plastic accepted. Live music on weekends. Smoking is allowed only in the native (Seminole) chickee hut. Nice Experience
I recently eat at the Watering Hole, and was impressed. As a previous review said they do not cater to chargers, but for that I would go to Outback, but the dishes are different, both restaurants are wonderful for their unique offerings!    [22 Apr 2006 21:49:58]

Best of the Best. The Watering Hole has the best steak I've ever eaten, bar none. I've dined there 8 times, and was completely blown away each time. I travel alot for bussiness and I'm from the NYC area. I've eaten at the best steak houses in this country. This place has the best steaks. The owner is a 4th generation cattle farmer. The meat is raised locally butchered locally and served locally. Forget those aged steaks. These are the tenderest and juicest steaks you'll ever eat. I can't wait until early May when I will be in Sebring playing golf. Oh, by the way this place has a 14' live alligator, peacocks and other assorted animal to entertain you. It also has the largest outdoor tiki bar I've ever seen. Country music (not my thing) and rock are played live on the weekend by some very tallented bands. The Garlic Shrimp
I'm positive the The Watering Hole serves the best shrimp in the universe. It's full of garlic butter--but no one I know has ever has a bad reaction to it. Our theory is that is because they don't serve a salad with it....only fruit with lots of pineapple. I eat there whenever I can. Advertising Misleading

THE Watering Hole has the BEST STEAK ANYWHERE
I live in Lake Placid,FLA and have the opportunity to eat at "the hole", as we locals call the place, anytime. The biggest problem is during the season it's a little jam packed.

Rule #1--RELAX and don't be in a hurry.
Rule #2--RELAX and have a drink.
Rule #3--Did I mention...RELAX?

I always have the Cowgirl Filet and a side order of butterflied shrimp. It's not on the menu, by the way.

You git a nice fruit salad and NO they don't have a vegetarian menu, so DON'T ASK!!!

Homemade fries and great garlic bread. If you don't like garlic on your steak...TELL YO WAITRESS!!!

Make sure you bring your favorite gal cause after you eat you can dance after 10pm

Horrible management-poor service & not customer friendly
The food, after it finally arrived, was mostly good. The fillet was very tender but the flavor was not as good as I expected. My dining partner ordered a shrimp fetticini "saute" that was very good.

The huge problem was that our food arrived an hour after we ordered and we watched diners who arrived 30 minutes after us get their food first. When I complained to the manager, he blamed us for the delay because we ordered a "saute." He told us that station was always backed up and that we should have ordered something else. I was frankly appalled at his attitude that his customer was to blame for their poor service. His parting remark was "the food was good wasn't it?"
