Great surprise I was a little hesitant going into Bahn Thai, since it's not in the prettiest location. However, once you get inside, it's actually quite decent.
The lunch buffet is reasonably priced, and has a nice selection of hot dishes, mostly notably the Pad Thai (w/ tofu), which was very good both times I've been there. [05 Mar 2003 18:27:24]

Good flavor, heavy food Definitely a change of pace for the average oriental food buff, Bahn Thai offers intersting sweet/salty dishes, many featuring Thai-classic coconut and/or curry. While excellent in flavor, these dishes can be very oily. Price level is very affordable, with a lunch buffet and a Sunday 2 for 1 buffet special. [05 Nov 2003 15:29:17]

Decent We tried Bahn Thai one night when our regular Thai place was closed. Bahn Thai didn't win me over, but I left satiated. The tofu curry with black mushrooms that I had was a tad squishy, but certainly flavorful, and spice hotter than they'll generally oblige me at Reangthai. My father had a seafood dish that he clamored for again later that week, and my mother loved her volcano chicken, which came to the table in an impressive ball of flames. [29 Jul 2004 10:46:06]

The Spice is Nice. Spicy food addicts will want to order from the Thai section of the menu. My favorites are garlic squid, basil squid, and curried chicken w/cocoanut milk. Guests are asked how spicy the want their food when ordering many Thai dishes. The options are mild, medium, & Thai-hot. You can have it as hot or as mild as you like. [07 Mar 2005 19:20:12]

Disgusting! Oh gosh, Banh Thai has disgusting food! The meat was dried up and hard to chew, the steam rice was terribly cooked, and the watermelon was the worse of the worse! Seemed like to me they bought the worst meat and fruits and cooked and prepared them days before and reheat them for you to eat! Beeeeeelieve me! I am Asian and I definitely know what's good Asian food. I suggest only go in during lunch time to check out the buffet, you'll see what I mean. [18 Aug 2005 13:49:58]

Bahn Thai Is the BEST I can't explain how much i love to eat at Bahn Thai. I love it so much I leave school early on a regular basis just so i can eat at the lunch buffet.
My favorite dishes by far are: Pad Thai, and this one dish with eggplant..not sure what it's called but, it's OHHH SOO GOOD!
I'm looking forward to having presidents day off so i can go and indulge on the best food in town!!!! BAHN TAHI I LOVE YOU. [19 Feb 2006 15:27:12]

Great Taste The lunch buffet is so rich with curry, mild dishes, pad thai noodles, fresh vegetables, and other goodies that you can make a new meal every time you enter. The buffet costs only about $7.
Regarding the quality of the food, which an earlier reviewer decried, the restaurant suffers the same unfortunate difficulty that attends every reasonably priced restaurant in the region; high quality produce is simply not available on a reliable basis. Expensive restaurants have food flown in daily. Hopefully, this dearth of quality produce will change before long and Bahn Thai will serve even more delicious food on the lunch buffet.
For special occasions (and for those on a more generous budget than mine), I highly recommend dinner at Bahn Thai. Actually, you can order off the menu at lunch, too. But dinner meals are special. [13 Jan 2007 23:28:19]

Not Hot for me! Sue and Chuck started a wonderful restaurant with the Bahn Thai, and I was a quick convert to certain dishes. Pad Thai was the first dish to hook me, and I especially like the noodles with Chicken & shrimp. Lunch buffet is GRAND, and well prepared, but dinner is superb with custom cooking to your unique taste. [12 Jun 2007 14:37:36]
