Service at Tallahassee Location
Guthrie's has been a favorite of mine for the past few years. I can't get enough of the toast, fries, coke, and of course, the chicken. The only problem, is that anytime I visit Guthrie's after lunchtime, the service is terrible. My food is usually the wrong order, the workers always forget to give me my drinks or extra fries, even if I pay for it! Basically, I had the worst experience ever last night, when I was at Guthrie's. I waited in the drive-thru for 5 minutes to see if the worker would open the window to hand me my drink. No such luck - she was inside goofing off with a group of friends who were visiting. I had to park, get out, and go inside to get my soda. Not only was I mad, but the worker got an attitude and thought I was out of line. I now hold true to: I will not eat at Guthrie's anymore, unless I feel that my needs will be met. Addicting and you'll crave it for years!
My husband and I met each other in 1996, while we were both attending Florida State University. Guthrie's chicken box was a favorite late night snack for me.
In 2001, while expecting my daughter Kaitlyn, I craved a Chicken Box, and since we were living 8 hours away from Tallahassee at that point in time, sending my husband out for a late night craving run was not going to be an option. Here it is, two years later- and I'm still craving the Guthrie's Chicken Box.
So it's fabulous, and I must add this warning... you WILL crave it if you haven't had it for a while. By the way, I'll see everyone at Guthries this December! On our way down to South Florida for the holidays, we're taking a side trip to Tallahassee- why? Because we're THAT close to Guthries, I'm stopping!

It's been years, but service was never the strong point at Guthries... it was just accepted that you were going to wait a long time for what you ordered, and that you had to check it before driving off. Ahh... I'm going to have some soon.    [08 Dec 2003 17:43:03]

Sleepless in Michigan
I can't sleep right now because I cannot get Guthrie's out of my head. I want a Gut Box right now so bad, and I'm 1,100 miles from FLA. Haven't had one since the 2002 FSU-UF game. The chicken, fries, toast, slaw, sweet tea, and sauce...mmmmm that sauce.    [15 Dec 2003 00:38:31]

Guthries gets unfair reviews
I am a worker at guthries and many people complain about the bad service and how rude we are. You must understand who we have to deal with all day. Mean customers and drunks. Best Late Night Meal.
I had my first Gut box when I came to FAMU in 1998 and I've been addicted ever since. Usually the servers are friendly, but the service is always SLOW! I don't understand why. They only have 3 items on the menu :). Overall, great place to eat!    [17 Sep 2004 13:19:11]

Guthries and service

Great Food Worst Service
I am from Rochester NY and went to FSU and miss the gut box soo bad. They always got my order right, a gut box with an extra finger and 3 sauces, but it took forever! At times you could reasonably wait 45 minutes at the drive thru. But it was worth it. I lived right up High Rd. so I was close!    [05 Mar 2005 18:51:43]

I Love Guthrie's.
