Don't go! After seeing this place had tons of awards on the wall, I'm thinking the nominations all had to be submitted by the people who worked there.
This was unequivocally the worst pizza I've ever had. To be fair, the Chicago-style crust was good, but the stuff on top of the crust has to be edible too, guys! The sauce tasted like they took a can of diced tomatoes from Wal-Mart, put it in a blender and slapped it on the pizza. My husband thought he saw spices in the sauce, but I think it was just ash that fell from the top of the oven. If that wasn't enough, the staff was barely civil. And we had to walk a quarter mile to an ATM just to get the cash to pay for it.
Don't waste your time on this place. [02 May 2005 10:22:41]

Crappy's not Cappy's Being from Chicago we were looking forward to their Chicago style pizza. This was the worst we had ever eaten, pizza or anything else. This was not Chicago style pizza; it's thick dough with almost no cheese and topped with a bitter tomato paste. Now we know why it was priced so low. They spent no money on quality ingredients (no cheese no fresh tomatoes). Staff was extremely rude also. Avoid this place at all costs. [26 Jun 2005 20:27:04]

What can I say that would be nice? The food is inexpensive. Other than that there is not much else to say that would be nice. The food is okay, but you still leave feeling ripped off. Cappy's has the worst costumer service of any restaurant that I have ever been to; that is including fast food. [04 Nov 2005 11:09:31]

you all have lost your minds.... Cappy's is a great place to eat. If anyone could say anything bad about it, it has to be that they do not take credit cards. People who dislike cappy's food and atomosphere must be stuck up food critics, because this is the most down to earth, chill, CHEAP, and GOOD pizza place in town. It's in the posh soho district which is always overpriced, so to find a place that has cheap prices is amazing.
I wouldn't call the chicago style authentic, but It is very good for what it is. The new york, is very very good. It's simple, no frills good pizza.
As for the service, it's not supposed to be a fancy sit down place. They wanna stay outta your way and get you your pizza as quick as possible, and that's how it should be. You get your own beer, and we like it that way. If you have a problem with cappy's go eat at your local pizza hut. [10 Apr 2006 17:44:56]

Good, cheap pizza and salads Went to the new Cappy's location in Seminole Heights last week. Had a great pizza, great Greek salad, and really cold beer. Wonderful service, too! [18 Jul 2007 11:16:47]

My Favorite This place is so wonderful. My husband and I drive from Brandon to South Tampa for a taste of the best pizza in town. All of the pizza places down our way are a big fat joke! [26 Oct 2007 21:45:47]
