Florida's oldest restaurant and perhaps the largest... - Digital City - suggest change
"Venerable" is too tame a word: We're talking 94 years of practice. Old-world ambience, excellent flamenco shows—and did we mention the food? - CitySearch, Sara Kennedy - suggest change

Tradition ! Fine "Spanish" cuisine in an elegant atmosphere. THE place to go on special occasions (but not MASSIVE special occasions). On Mother's Day (2001), the place was jammed but service never failed to be the best. Food is fresher when such days are avoided; a sensitive palate can detect "held" foods to accommodate HUGE crowds. Even at such times, I would still recommend the Columbia for a graceful dining experience. [31 Aug 2001 18:36:20]

Really good food, great entertainment A bit on the pricey side, but the servings are enormous and the waitstaff is great. Just have another glass of Sangria and laugh it off. I did.
Delicious food, too. I had their signature Paella Valenciana and it was fantastic. So was their homemade Sangria. Eat like a king and watch the Flamenco dancing (you need to be there a half hour before the show to be seated with food).
Everything I stole off other people's plates at my table was just as excellent as my Paella. I didn't take anything off other tables, though, so I don't know what the other patrons were having.
Great food and a rustic atmosphere. It's kind of like you're walking into the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney, only with tables and food.
Make reservations, dress appropriate, and loosen your belt. It's really good. Oh, the show costs extra, but it's like only a Five Spot per person. If you're already willing to pay for the excellent food, the extra cost of the show is but a drop in the hat.
ugh. I was so full I had to wobble out to the car. [08 Sep 2004 17:31:39]
