Too Smokey Unbearable. The piano player smokes, the owner smokes, the employees smoke. No way they can field high class clientele. Can't recommend any dishes, since you can't enjoy any (unless it is take out). [10 Jan 2002 21:19:55]

I like the restaurant. I been there couple of times for dinner and I really enjoy myself. I think the new owner is really nice and friendly. The whole place is very nice and something different in Temple Terace. Restaurant have a big history, been open for 25 years. They have also the best sangria in Tampa. I wish best to the restaurant. I will be there next time. [12 Jun 2002 23:39:06]

A Tampa Tradition This restaurant is a gem hidden along 56th street just south of Fowler Ave. I've been a patron there since I was an intern 20+ years ago. The service is elegant and consistent, as is the food. You can't go wrong here. [01 Jul 2002 19:43:04]

Don Jose' great secret Since now everything is "smoke free" I doubt the previous reviewer really gave this fine resturant a chance. Great value and service in a relaxed enviornment. [10 Dec 2003 17:55:57]

a family tradition I have been eating here all my life. Their chicken and yellow rice is the best. I dont like how they have changed their atmosphere since the change in ownership, but i do like that the new owners are not as snobby as the previous. [27 Dec 2004 21:09:31]

MEMORABLE MEAL IT IS IMPRESSIVE THAT A RESTAURANT PUTS OUT A GOOD PRODUCT OVER & OVER WITH NO FUZZ.
THE SANGRIA IS THE BEST IN TOWN. THE HOMEMADE BROWN BREAD IS VERY LIGHT & FLUFFY. THE CAZUELA DE MARISCOS WAS A 10. THE DECOR AND THE ROOMS ARE VERY NOSTALGIC.
CHECK IT OUT, I HEARD THEY ARE MOVING IN 2006 [17 Oct 2005 22:40:50]
