Awful experience
I went to Sunday brunch with a friend, and our first impression was that the restaurant was lovely (we were thinking of hosting a baby shower there). I went into the ladies' room and found the sink broken in three pieces and a filthy plastic trash can. We were willing to overlook that, thinking they'd probably be replacing those soon. However, our meal was a total disappointment. We had two different quiches, and both tasted as though they'd been frozen and reheated (soggy crust, unfresh tasting eggs). The frozen fruit salad could not be eaten, as it was frozen solid, and most of the lettuce in the side salad was brown and wilted. I had ordered a pot of tea, and the waiter said that it would take 3 to 4 minutes. After 10 minutes and no tea, I found the waiter and asked him to cancel the tea. He did not respond, other than to walk away. Although we did not complain about the poor quality of the food, he never again spoke to us. One would think I canceled a $50 steak; although, even that doesn't justify rudeness! He didn't offer dessert, did not thank us, did not tell us to have a nice day; he put the check on the table and left us. Neither of us has ever been treated so rudely in a restaurant. Needless to say, we will not be hosting our shower there, nor would we ever return.    [26 Nov 2006 16:18:01]
