I like it with some reservations I have been there over 100 times (so this is a major stake for my family and not the owners that we want to see improvement).
The smoking section and counter is where the service can be poor to moderate, while the non-smoking is absolutly great. The main problem is the male staff (their mind is on something else). We have had problems: order was not placed, completely the wrong order was given, the waiter would forget about our table, the salads and soup at dinner would be forgotten. But we always gave a tip.
There are times were we would look in the window to see who are servers in the smoking section, and go back to the car to go somewhere else.
Although everything is not as bad as they seem, the food is great. But most of the time, the service is fantastic (especially, when the old man shows up (owner)), you can bet that your meal and service are outstanding. [18 Apr 2003 01:15:25]

We like it, but has some flaws We have eaten there many times and also at the sister restaurant "Pasta Bella". The service is either perfect or horrible. The wait is rather long. My biggest complaint is that they cram too many people in making the atmosphere rather pathetic. There are so many tables crammed together even the servers can't get through. The food, however is exceptional. I have never had anything bad here. Some items are overpriced, but the food is unreal and the variety of dishes is unsurpassed. The owner also has a tendency to hire individuals new to this country, and 99% of the time they cannot speak english and you have to point to the menu so they know what you want. When you need a refill of more of something that can be quite a challenge. [27 Apr 2003 15:50:43]

Feel Like Family at the Marietta Diner My husband and I always feel like we are being greeted by Family at the Marietta Diner. We go there at least twice a week, sometimes more. We have been there at all times of the day and have ordered a wide range of selections on the menu. We always know that we will get a good meal, that we can find something to eat whether well or sick, and that we will be warmly welcomed. [28 Apr 2003 17:22:01]

Foods Good.. But... I have eaten in this place for almost 3 years, usually when I come back from Buckhead. The food is great and it's a huge amount and the spices are not bad, and the night manager is great. [03 Jul 2003 13:38:32]

One of my favorite places I love this place -- it's open 24 hours and is always fully staffed. I always sit in non-smoking, and have never had a complaint about the service. I eat at the Diner at least weekly.
The menu is amazingly diverse, the food is always good. The desserts have a reputation all their own, and are out of this world.
It is busy much of the time, and you sometimes have a wait, but to me it's worth it. And as for ambiance, what do you expect? It's a diner. [08 Sep 2003 10:29:50]

A Definite Family Favorite Marietta Diner is probably our family's favorite restaurant. We love the variety, food quality, huge portions, and family friendliness (we have 3 small children)of the place. Even our elderly parents have grown to love it and suggest it often. We have NEVER had poor service, and go about once a month. We do sit in non-smoking. We also rarely wait, but make reservations if we have a large number. [11 Jun 2004 15:55:31]

24/7 Food for Everyone No matter what food restrictions or picky eater, there is something for everyone here. I have been going to the Marietta Diner once every couple weeks for years. I have brought friends and relatives here, and the biggest complaint was "They give you too much food!"!
On a Friday or Saturday night, expect a wait, but usually they supply snacks in the lobby when there is a crowd. No matter what shift, there is always a manager on duty to stop by & ask how everything is, or even the owner when he is in.
The only problems with service are the occasional foreign waiters that don't speak very good english. (I request special orders a lot)
Definitely bring your appetite or make room in the fridge for leftovers! [07 Jul 2004 17:39:20]

Outstanding Experience We took some friends to Marietta Diner everything from someone in the parking lot helping us (we were there at noon and they were very busy) to a "to die for" desert was fabulous!! Thank you Maria for your warm hospitality and graciousness. We will return soon! [25 Jan 2005 18:35:54]

No matter what, you'll find something you like I absolutely love this place. As a student at SPSU (the college just around the block), this was a perfect place to go no matter the hour. Even on a college student's budget, one can find great food. Rarely have I found the service to be poor, though the smoking section does tend to get very crowded. The food is always great and the 13 page menu always has something new to try. If you want great food for a reasonable price, this is your place. [31 Jan 2005 15:17:08]
