I wasn't really impressed. This is just your average-looking place to eat. I was disappointed with the food that I had ordered. The shrimp didn't even look cooked. I think I just came in at the wrong time. They told me that they just changed owners and wasn't even able to serve alcohol because they didn't have their liquor license yet.    [01 Mar 2001 11:44:43]

Dirty & Stale
At my mother's request I took her to Bennigans for her birthday. The place looked dirty -- there was dust on the glass and ledge separating our table. After a long wait the meal arrived -- broccoli with rust marks, ok -- the shrimp was good, but the rice had a chemical taste and was only lukewarm. Dessert -- the cheesecake had been here since VietNam -- it was dry, tasteless -- stale and served with a spoon -- on a dirty, smudged soup dish! My brownie was undercooked -- literally half baked, also served with a spoon on a dirty, greasy soup dish.

Something floated in my mother's coffee. I drove 1 & 1/2 hours to visit and took my mother to this horrible meal -- they have really went down. To get the check we had to send up signal flares -- no wonder it wasn't that busy -- even at 1pm. Bennigans really has went down -- like the Titanic.    [22 Dec 2001 06:25:16]
