Down Home Cooking on Maui
Hali'imaile General Store is a community-minded restaurant. Our visit fell on the first Tuesday of the month, and the reservationist told us that if we each brought a donation such as canned or dried food, each second entree would qualify for a 50% discount! Not that they need this to boost attendence, because the restaurant is always jammed due to the good food. Macadamia nut crusted fresh catch-of-the-day is great and very Hawaiian, and where else would you get “Maui Style” pineapple upside-down cake? A great dining experience!
