Jameson's in Kona poor service and food
Visited Jameson's November 23, 2005. Service was absolutely terrible. 1&1/2 hours wait for food, place not crowded. Food sat before being served, vegetables cold and dried out. Mahi Mahi overcooked, dry. Servers kept pouring water into the white wine glasses. Main waiter ignored table. Acting manager walked away when complaint filed. Very rude staff that night. Only saving grace was ambiance. That was tarnished by poor quality food and service. For $300 place was a disgrace! Will not return.    [29 Nov 2004 16:16:51]

Don't bother: overpriced, mediocre-at-best food
Wait staff was inattentive, not knowledgeable about the menu, and spacey/rude/clueless.

Food was awful, and much better places to view sunset in the area.

I would never go back to Jameson's. Wine had an off-taste, reported it to waiter, and he just ignored our complaint.    [10 Jul 2006 14:01:11]

Better than expected
After reading reviews here, we had low expectations. However, those expectations were exceeded. We went on a Tuesday night. It was not crowded at all. There were 6 of us and only one had a meal she was disappointed in. Service was very attentive. Menu items were reasonably priced though the specials were quite a bit more expensive. Wine list was small, but we brought our own and the corkage fee was reasonable. Altogether, a very pleasant evening.    [22 Aug 2007 02:46:58]
