Wailua Family Restaurant
The Wailua Family Restaurant is a TERRIBLE restaurant. My Dad was very hungry and was very excited by the sign advertising a seafood buffet. The menu was a total rip off of the Sizzler restaurant menu, but since it was late, we decided to eat there. The owner/manager was bemoaning to us about the rude customers that he had to face all day. We should have taken a hint right then and there that the customers probably had complaints about the food/service.

I ordered chicken tenders and fries from the kid's menu since I was not that hungry and figured that they could not mess that up. Well I was wrong. The chicken was dried up/brown inside and barely edible and the fries were cold and old. Others tasted it and concurred.

My Mom's potato was so old and rotten that it was brown inside and inedible as well. Although my Mom never wastes food, she could not eat it! My Dad asked for a crab shell cracker 2 times and did not get it until we were ready almost done eating. The waitress picked it off another customer's table and merely wiped it with a cloth before handing it to my Dad! The poor hygiene nearly made us ill! Then the waitress gave my Dad cold coffee and when he nicely asked for a warm cup, the waitress smirked at him like he was lying!

My husband who never complains about food said that this was the worst meal that he had ever had. My husband is a very generous tipper, but he did NOT leave a tip due to the disgusting food and rude/poor service.    [17 Jan 2005 04:56:50]
