Best food on the Island
This Portuguese family run restaurant serves local and Portugese dishes 6 days a week - has the best breakfast pancakes on the island and the kalbi is second to none. Service is down home friendly and the restaurant is clean, well lit and you are made to feel like ohana (family) as soon as you walk in the door. If you're lucky MaryLou the owner made one of her Pistachio Banana Creme pies that day. Her husband Dan is a master koa wood bowl turner and you can shop after eating during the day for some beautiful Koa wood bowls to remind you of your visit.    [03 Nov 2003 17:52:43]

Beef stew to die for!
Had dinner at Koa recently on a visit to Mtn. View and must rave about the beef stew! It was so delicious I had to restrain myself from saying "mmmmm" after every bite. I wish we'd had time (and room) for dessert. Next time!    [20 Jan 2007 21:43:05]
