Not What I Expected
We had a large group, roughly 10. We had a 1/2 hour wait between salad and entree. Prime rib was dry and overcooked. Baked potatoes were room temperature and dried out. Nobody was blowing on their food to cool it off. For the price it wasn't worth it. I did enjoy their potato salad, and their house salad. The ribs were OK, but the brisket that night was also dry, reminded me of roast beef.    [12 Apr 2006 10:10:58]

A Bad Situation Turned out Alright
Arrived with a group of 10. They lost our reservation, but after some convincing, our group was seated by itself in the loft. For having our group and another group of 40+, we did receive adequate attention from our server. The appetizers were good, and general good comments from the crowd. (Watch out, that Cheezy Chicken soup packs some heat!) State Champ ribs were tender. Our pasta person would have liked more Alfredo sauce, but that's a personal preference. High ceilings make for a loud experience, so don't plan on talking too much business. Would I go back, yes. Will I make a strong effort too, mmmm, probably not. How Dare All of You?
Everything at Claxon's is delicious, from the ribs right down to the zucchini side! Best ribs I've ever eaten. The atmosphere is pleasant and my cup never runs dry while I sit at the bar. No smokehouse or bbq place can compare to the quality of meat that Claxon's Smokehouse and Grill provides to it's customers.    [21 Nov 2006 17:04:21]
