Best Breakfast in Ames
This place rocks! I go there after a long hard night of partying and it always gets me back on my feet. A true greasy spoon at its finest. The food is fabulous though and is very much a comfort food menu. I believe this place is better than The Grove. The food is better. I like their omelets and sausage better. Much better selection. I'm not going to say the Grove's pancakes are not good because they are awesome, but the Truck Stop has a more traditional pancake and are the best there are in Ames. I think the food is awesome and just as good if not better than what my mom made....which come to think of it my dad is a truck driver...hmmmmmm, maybe that's why I like it so much.    [29 Nov 2006 17:10:54]

Recommended Dishes: The Eggs, Sausage, Biscuit, Hashbrown combo... I make an egg mcmuffin out of it. Don't forget to get cheese on either the sausage or eggs to make it a true mcmuffin. The pancakes are the best you'll find in Ames.
