The best pizza!
I am a serious pizza person. I have had pizza all over the country. In fact, when I spend any time in a new city I try to find and sample the most authentic pizza I can. There are many pizza places I have experienced that are not much better than a frozen pizza. You can find a couple very good pizzas in Des Moines ie: Chucks, Noah's, Hilltop. Yeah, been about 35 years for me too. Worked at the branch they had in Denison. Wow, doubt I would recognize the crew anymore. We use to have the nightly game of spades with all the boys, Jim, Dudley, and oh almost forgot, Doug (use to call him drawblood Doug) and of course the beautiful Lynn. I use to screw the game up pretty good, had a bad habit of trumping my partner's winning hand, well I was only 14 or so. Early '70s. Remember the unique way they cut the pizza in small maybe 3 inch squares... definitely the sausage was my favorite. Well make that sausage and green olive..yum yum...    [21 Aug 2005 03:31:49]

Simply the best pizza
This is the real deal, brick oven pizza at its finest. A mom & pop type outfit since 1962. The Belluci special is a spectacular combo, and as for the ample list of sandwiches, the Thompson special is a meal for two. The only complaint I can recall is that my wife thinks the sausage pieces are too big; I think that just means they use local fresh sausage rather than inferior packaged stuff.    [05 Jan 2006 17:29:03]
