There's a first time for everything I had never eaten authentic Vietnamese food before, and it's nothing like the "Chinese" food I'm used to. Dishes are full of unrecognizable vegtables, and trying to ask what they are doesn't seem to help. The food is very tasty, however, and the staff willing to explain more than once what you are eating. Many of the dishes come in a bowl, and are similiar to a stew, although the flavors are more distinct than in American cooking. Nothing I tried was too spicy to eat; the vegtables seem to be what create the distinctive taste. [17 Apr 2000 16:08:14]

Our family's favorite We live very close to A Dong and go there on a regular basis. Until seven or eight years ago, I was unfamiliar with Vietnamese food. What a wonderful surprise! It has a great fresh taste without a hint of being overly processed. The menu is extensive, yet VERY reasonable, and if you are a vegetarian, this place is heaven. Try a spring roll for starters. The decor is plain, but made lively by the bustle of the neighborhood types. [23 Nov 2003 10:16:22]
