Are the donuts good at the Kalona Bakery?
Well, let me tell you a story. When I first moved here and got a job, everyone at work took a Friday to bring "treats". People brought in all kinds of homemade cakes and cookies and candy and what-not. When it came my turn, *I* wasn't any baker so I figured I'd just go to the local bakery (Kalona) and pick up some donuts. When I brought them in to work they asked, "Are those from the KALONA bakery?" "Well, they're from a bakery in Kalona. Is that the Kalona Bakery?" I couldn't believe their reaction. Five or six months later when it was my turn again, everyone wanted to know if I was going to be bringing donuts from the Kalona bakery again. I almost felt I would be in fear of my life if I didn't :+). So, to the delight of my work-mates, on my day to bring treats I've been bringing donuts from the Kalona Bakery ever since.    [11 Sep 2004 01:25:56]
