Not What I Hoped For
Went to American subs and catering hoping to find a genuine sub sandwich like I used to get around Philadelphia when I was a kid. I should have known better than to get my hopes up. The quality of the turkey was very artificial and the bread was not what I consider a real (fresh baked) hogie roll. Oregano was an option, and might have helped, but I didn't know I had to ask for it so was disappointed on that as well. If the person who made my sandwich had remembered to put the provolone on there would have been some improvement - unless the cheese was as lame as the turkey.

Clearly the folks at American Catering have simply never had a good sub sandwich and just don't know what to shoot for. What I got was no better than Subway, which is exactly what I was hoping to avoid.

I cannot attest to the quality of any other of their products as a good sub sandwich is all that I was looking for. I did get a pleasant welcome and the store looked clean and organized but the sandwich was such a disappointment I simply have no reason to ever go back.    [05 Jan 2007 15:20:15]
