Fantastic
Since the red door came under new management, and their menu plummeted into the abyss, I'd been looking for a place that had that casual elegance mixed with incredible food thing going for it.
The food is prepared with care. Most dishes are simple but of high quality using fresh ingredients and imagination. As produce goes in and out of season the menu adapts to provide a sense of connection to the world around,preventing dulldrums and making you look forward to the upcoming year.
The extensive wine list can lead to a fun game of what to try next. The service is excellent. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wines, and quick to pull out a taster if you have a question.
The table wear is sparkling, no smudged silver or glass. I've dined here several times now and each visit has been up to this standard.    [04 Feb 2008 18:59:51]
