Good for the Area, but Get desserts going If you can get in, they have great food. Things tend to run spicy, so be careful if you have sensitive tastebuds. Their dessert menu is extensive, as is the rest of the menu, but because of storage issues, they don't offer the desserts - MAJOR BUMMER!! The place also gets VERY noisy with just a few people dining - we had to yell at each other at a table for two. [03 Apr 2005 17:29:04]

Less than I expected I guess I wasn't really impressed from the start when our waiter introduced herself by kneeling on the ground. After that, the service was rushed, although attentive. I felt like they wanted me out after only 45 minutes. Moreover, they have no waiting area for those who are under 21. Despite the fact that I enquired about waiting somewhere other than the bar because I'm underage, the waiter still pressed me to purchase some of their (overpriced) wine with my meal.
The food was also not to my expectations compared to other similarly priced restaurants in the town (Old Peking/La Casa Lopez on the slightly lower side, Red Door on the slightly more expensive side). I had "Raul's Macho Fish," which sounded good (halibut with diced shrimp and a garlic sauce), but ended up being visually unappealing (the sauce was grainy, too thick, and a weird tint of orange) and fairly unimpressive tastewise (because the sauce took over the dish). Fortunately, the avocado eggrolls I had as an appetizer were good, despite the fact that they put out my entree immediately after picking up the appetizer while I was still eating the last eggroll piece. The green sauce (I think tomatillo based) was nicely sweetened for the avocado base.
I would not go back again unless I had a particular reason. I'm sure I had just a bad choice of meal, but the prices they charge make it so it's hard for me to find the dishes I like! [11 Sep 2005 04:21:45]

Great food, great atmosphere, acceptable price. Sangria is easily one of the better offerings in the area. The menu is large and has so many choices you don't know where to start. Every occasion I've had to go to Sangria has resulted in a very positive experience. The atmosphere is very nice, with a variety of artistic lighting and decorations. The only complaint I have on atmosphere is probably a symptom of their success - the seating arrangements, especially for couples, is too tight. You almost feel like you'll knock elbows with the couple next to you, especially if you're any larger than average.
The food is unique and creative in a Medeteranian style. Their dishes feature an extensive selection of seafoods in a variety of preparations, as well as other things hard to find in this area, such as lamb and nice steaks. The preparations of all are unique and creative. For example, take the avacado egg rolls. These rolls look like traditional egg rolls, but instead of the traditional filling, they are stuffed with avacado and sun dried tomato, as well as other spices. The calamari is also well above average, being light and flavorful, and served with fresh lime and their own dipping sauce. Every table is also equipped with their amazing pesto salsa, a sort of italian inspired hot sauce. The list goes on and on, each dish a unique experience. The dishes range in dinnertime price from $8 for some of their salads to $25 for some of the more exotic items (i.e. lamb, nice steaks.) The desserts are well-done also. I don't know why the previous poster said they were not available, because we ordered them and enjoyed them thouroughly. The main issue with this offering is getting in on a friday or saturday night. Call ahead to get on the list, go early, or go on a weekday for faster service.
Overall, highly recommended, especially for this area. [30 Oct 2005 22:08:35]

Good taste but terrible environment and service I really like the dishes and the taste of Sangria. However, probably because there are not too many restaurants and food offers in Moscow.
This restaurant is always extremely busy (you need to wait more than 30 minutes, witout any special place for wait). In addition, the restaurant is very crowded and the tables for couples are extremely small and too close to the other tables (seriously, you can easily hear the conversation of the couple next to you).
Last time that I went to the restaurant, after more less 40 minutes of be sitting and eating, the waiter bring me the bill and ask me if I need a box for my "remaind" food... I was talking and eating with my fiance, but the waiter approach to me several times asking me the same question (kind of "are you finished yet..hurry!)
The food is good, they have a to go service, that I usually use and I recommend. [18 Apr 2006 19:47:57]

Great Place The restaurant is great. It was recently remodeled, and the inside boasts an interesting and tastily lit ambiance. Most places in the area are cheap and don't give much $$$ or attention to the little details that, besides the food, are determinants that bring returning patrons. The menu has something for everyone. Before you cut off Sangria from your list of outing possibilities give at least 3 seperate meal choices a try. Although, the quality is in the food it may not be of your liking. [30 Apr 2006 22:59:28]

Our Favorite Restaurant By Far We first tryed Sangria Grille when they opened in 2004 and we were amazid that something like this would be in Moscow. The food quality is the best in town with creative preparation and the wait staff is very attentive and always cheerful- everyone always remembers us. Sometimes we go in for our favorite (sweet corn tamale cakes) and sometimes we like to try something new, which you could do for months becuse the menu is so large and diverse. Don't forget to check out the atmosphere, we thought is looked neat looking in the windows...but to see it from the inside it is truly a treat (and this is coming from a designer!) Great Apps menu! Best Place in the Region! Absolutely great! We had heard about Sangria Grille from just about everyone we know...telling us we HAD to try it, so finally, one night we did. We had no idea something like this was in the area! We've been back several times for both dinner as well as lunch and haven't had a bad meal yet. You should try the avocado eggrolls, coconut shrimp or the bruschetta with toasted bread for appetizers. I love the seafood paella, my wife's favorite is the new york steak with melted gorgonzola on the top. The presentation of the plates is really artistic; we always like watching the food go by. Great selection of chocolate desserts and extensive imported wine list. We love eating at sangria grille and can highly recommend it to anyone searching for GREAT food served by a friendly, knowledgable staff. A++ [27 Jul 2006 21:58:20]

We are so glad Sangria is in our town! We love Sangria! We eat there frequently becuase it is the only restaurant in the area that uses fresh ingredients and has a wonderful atmosphere. We have tried most dishes on the menu and there aren't any that we didn't like but some were more to our liking than others. There really is something for everyone. It seems that some dishes are made a little different at times but it is all still good. We actually enjoy that aspect because we know it isn't preprocessed food coming out of a microwave. There is actually a chef back there stirfrying my meal! Some chefs use more soy sauce than an other and that is okay. We enjoy the waitstaff and very rarely need to ask for refills or anything else for that matter. They are quite attentive without being buggy. They do need more seating but we would rather eat at a good restaurant. Sometimes we will enjoy eating at the bar and watching the large flat screen t.v. for fun. Be sure and try a Sangria, all 3 are yummy and we love their sweet potato fries! [29 Jul 2006 00:07:30]

Best Restaurant Between Spokane and Boise! My wife and I dine there OFTEN. We have tried almost everything on the huge menu and have never been disappointed. Each dish is made to order, (unlike some area restaurants with boiling bags and 55 gallon drums of "gravy"). The wait on big college weekends can be long, but if you love food like we do it is worth it. [07 Sep 2006 14:52:44]
