Dessert at Mona Lisa My Husband and I went to the Mona Lisa for dessert because I had heard many great things about them. I was told by one of my co-workers that their dessert was "was to die for". The restaurance itself was beautiful inside. It really took us back in time. However, the service was horrible. We had to ask another server to find our waiter to take our order. Once we got our fondue pot, the caramel was luke warm. The dessert consisted of a plate of different fruits, cakes and pretzels. After our first bite, we knew this was not going to be a good experience. It tasted very bitter. The cakes tasted better then the fruit. In some cases, the fruit was so tart that it was hard to swallow. The smell coming from the other tables was not pleasant either. I am glad that I did not choose this restaurant to have our entire dinner. My Husband and I both agree that this is not a place we will ever visit again or recommend. [28 Jul 2003 05:27:46]

Fun experience My husband & I have eaten at Mona Lisa a few times & have been pleased each time. The first fondue course of cheese is wonderful. It's amazing how good red grapes taste covered in cheese. My only complaint is that I'm so stuffed when we leave! [31 Jul 2003 18:35:38]

Wonderful evening My wife and I have enjoyed eating at the Mona Lisa four times over the past two years. While we have not been during the last three months, we look forward to our next visit.
The first course is a cheese fondue that is wonderful. It always arrived quite warm. The variety of fruits and breads to dip was great.
The second course is a great variety of meats - chicken, beef, sausage, and shrimp that come with a variety of dipping sauces and a side of potatoes.
Finally, dessert is a GREAT experience. We enjoyed the pieces of fruit and cake with the chocolate fondue.
The meal is a slow one, and so out waiters, while attentive, did not come by every five minutes. I thought that was a plus because the setting is slow-paced. [06 Aug 2003 17:29:13]

Fondue for Two Mona Lisa made my Valentines Day the best yet! The food was not only amazing, served in a huge quantity, but also a different approach to traditionalized American dinners. Grilling the main course with my fiance was such a fun thing to do together, it really shook up what is usually a typical "nice" dinner. Thanks Mona! [18 Feb 2004 14:50:02]
