It is truly a delight. The Sea Bass is so good, last time I asked for two portions in place of the Prawns. I kind of missed the prawns, so, next time I'm going to keep the Prawns and still get the extra Sea Bass. It was an extra 2 bucks for the substitution, I imagine it will be an extra 8 bucks for the addition next time. It will be well worth it. The atmosphere is a little too loud & busy for me but the food is always the defining characteristic for a restaurant. [18 Oct 2004 13:57:49] The food is awesome! If you love garlic... You can smell the garlic a couple blocks away from The White House Grill in Post Falls! Warning: if you don't like garlic... don't go here! But if you like garlic, you will LOVE the food. This restaurant is so popular, reservations are a necessity. It is always crowded, and you may have to park a street away. Thursday evenings they have a lovely and talented bellydancer "Ravisha" who performs two sets. The owner usually makes a round during dinner, and will beat on his drum and sing if it's your birthday :-) With the restaurant's popularity, expect somewhat slow service (but it is worth the wait, and the waitpeople are very friendly and pleasant). You could make a meal with just the appetizers. Hummus, my favorite appetizer is very strong with *hot* garlic flavor and comes with pita triangles for dipping. There is also some Baba Ghannouj on the Hummus plate. "Cigars" are spinach and feta rolled up in phyllo and served with a small "salad" of tomatoes, onions, and feta. You just can't stop eating the Garlic Cheese Bread, and the French Onion Soup is rich with cheese and a strongly flavored broth. The salty, garlicky green beans served with most meat dishes are fabulous. I wonder if they are sauced with the meat drippings as they have dark liquid, and if you shine your table light onto them you'll see almost as much garlic as beans! My favorite entree is the lamb Shish Kebab, I wish I knew their marinade secret, the meat is incredibly moist, tender and extremely flavorful. At dinners, the place is rather dark and yes, very noisy, but the noise is because everyone is having such a good time! Prices are reasonable, appetizers are $2.50-$3.50, a gyro is $5.75 and dinners are $9-$13 with nightly specials sometimes a bit more. [29 Oct 2005 22:57:20] *MMMMMUUUaaaa* This is hands down my favorite restaurant! We have been here many times and have brought many of our friends (now we have to fight them for reservations!) The food is unbelievably good. The sea bass is a must and oh baby are the green beans good! Wash is down with Baklava and thanks be to whoever made the bad map that landed a chef like this somewhere like Post Falls, Idaho!? Cannot say enough good things! [19 Jun 2006 01:48:00] Anybody For GARLIC??? Our appetizer was awesome the hummus is so great and so was our main meal the med chicken so good and they served us fast! The waitress was friendly and she also told us on some days they have belly dancers. Just don’t tell them its your birthday because they make a BIG bang (unless in a funny way you want to embarrass the person). Overall great and we are going back on Friday with my husbands parents. WE LOVE GARLIC! [27 Oct 2006 01:19:39] Amazingly good food! Fine food but poor custsomer sevrvice More reviews: 0 | 1
