Weekend Getaway
It is hard to believe that 9 miles up a beautiful canyon road there is a family owned restaurant that has been there since 1940. I loved the fried shrimp. Choices are steaks, broasted or grilled chicken, fried or grilled trout and halibut and chicken salads. The onion rings are the best that I have ever tasted and the scones with the honey butter make you throw out any diet you are on. Desserts such as "outrageous" and homemade cheesecake will satisfy any sweet tooth. There are cabins located next to Cub River which is right next to the mountain called Deer Cliff. Great food , Great service and Great everything .

Beautiful place
What a wonderful get-away place. You can have a great dinner while sitting next to Cub River out on the patio or by big picture windows inside. If you happen to be there on a Friday or Saturday evening you can be entertained by live music and dance if you like. If you need a quiet place to escaped from the city and heat in the summer they have little knotty pine cabins that sit right on the river.    [18 Mar 2007 22:43:07]
