Downhill since it moved out of the mall Our family used to eat there once a month religiously. When times were good we would eat there three times a month. The cheddar garlic biscuits, which come with dinner were always superb! Their salads were always excellent. And their fried calamari.....was unsurpassed...I've eaten at every restaurant within a fifty mile radius, on a regular basis, because I don't like to drive, and until recently, I have begun to be disappointed. They are now adding veggies to their calamari??.....Why? I don't know! But I will never order their calamari again, where as before, me and my kids used to order 4 plates between us and that would be our meal. Now it's too much effort to pick out all of the vegetables! If I wanted vegetables......I'd be dining in a salad bar...Anybody who is health conscious........doesn't want deep fried vegetables! Don't mix the two.....don't confuse the two.....besides the food......which we didn't get to eat in the restaurant which we drove twenty minutes for........the service was so slow.......at getting seated.......the waitress was so slow at everything that we had to have our dinner bagged to go, because we had to pick up our 3rd grade daughter from school, so needless to say it was the worst meal of our lives........and we've dined at Red Lobster for years. I'm talking at least 20 yrs.....and this is the first complaint I've ever had.......but we had to drive 20 minutes home, pick up our kid for ten minutes.....drive another 5 minutes home......and gee whiz.....after we opened up everything, and reheated everything...and put everything on plates, and used our silverware and our napkins.....and used our trash to throw everything away! Why did we bother to leave a tip? It was disgusting the service we got.......and I'm sorry...I've been coming to Red Lobster for years......but that's when they were in Fox Valley...they seemed so much better organized over there. RED LOBSTER BAIT AND SWITCH Hey..ever see that fabulous plate of lobster and shrimp on the Red Lobster commercials... Doesnt end there...its even on the menu when you get to the restaurant. I have a photo of my meal with a shrimp placed beside one of the lobsters I unshelled. HEY THE SHRIMP IS LARGER THAN THE LOBSTER. I didnt know it was legal even to harvest lobsters that small. DONT GET RIPPED OFF...DONT GO TO RED LOBSTER TO EAT.. Plus, they must be of the remaining one percent of the entire restaurant population NOT USING REAL BUTTER...after we have all been told of the heart dangers of the hydrogenated stuff..and not to mention the crappy flavor...you buy a $20.00 meal for you and some guests you at least expect them to spend another .50 to give you all some REAL BUTTER. Who is in charge of this ship? The beancounters obviously...but they wont be having many beans to count if this continues...I have had my LAST meal at this watering hole.
