classic deep dish
The pie at Lou's is without a doubt what Chicago pizza is all about. The flavors of tomato and delicious sausage couldn't be held in a better crust. As for the salad, the gorgonzola dressing is a nice alternative for the blue cheese crowd.    [17 Apr 2003 23:54:43]

The food is OK, if you don't mind not getting served what's on the menu (it promised crumbled genoa on the spinach salad, but consensus at our table was it's crumbled bacon). But the OVER CROWDING at this location is SIMPLY AWFUL. You get crammed into a table, and if it's up against the DIRTY WALL, you run the risk of being burned by wait staff racing around with hot pizza pans held in front of them with pinchers. I'm sure they've had accidents where customers or staff were burned. They are NUTS! No thanks, just not worth going back for run-of-the-mill pizza.
